As a mechanism, I'm honestly not sure. I have a feeling that it involves a lot of lawyers, investigators and the supreme court.

And a lot of political will on both sides if the disqualifying factor is toxic enough (adding a certain amount of haste to the action).

One must ask where he is getting his figures from...

...and the answer had better not be the kinds of plastic surgeon that haunt the halls and golf courses of Mar-a-lago.

I'd sooner trust Bruce Campbells Surgeon General of Beverly Hills.

May I suggest Truck Nutz as a cheaper alternative?

or is rendered somehow incapable (incapacitated and unable to continue via injury/illness), though that can be debated after the vote is cast and before anyone is sworn in.

This is at least as I understood it from a decade ago. I've not seen a lawyer argue this point at all.

It's been a while, but I've heard this being answered once before (2015ish on the "OTHER PLACE™").

Votes cast for an ineligible candidate are void, and cannot be transferred via their party (you vote for the person, not the party). Their second (The VP) only benefits if the primary dies...

One has the image of rats trying to discreetly leave the ship, for reasons soon to be obvious to everyone else.

I am reminded of the FCC song by Family Guy and the events that led up to that particular episode.

And given how Carr has acted during the whole Kimmel debacle, I'm surprised he's even denying or trying to deflect at this point.

Because I don't know how they broke it down, I'm hoping its just calculated at my standard 4 hour shift. Out of the 7 days off, I can owe them 12 hours wages with just a wince.

If they calculated it at any more than that, it's going to be painful (18-26 hours).
December 17, 2025 at 5:55 PM
So I'm going to loose money in February off my wages, once they figure out how much they've fucked up.

Because it is their fuck-up.

The details they had are correct, they even KNEW I had the time off, because it said so on the screen-shot they showed my boss.
December 17, 2025 at 5:55 PM
And because we only get the basic report, not a full breakdown of our week by week hours worked, I had no idea I had been overpaid.

Apparently they KNOW I was overpaid, but they do not know by how much... I have had to tell them that week was my time off, and they now have to work out the rest.

Why does every picture of Sam Altman express a sense of quiet desperation, conveying a message of "Please buy my products, please, I'm begging you!"
December 17, 2025 at 5:37 PM
I have a week off in January I can dedicate to this, but that is still 4 weeks away, until then I'll just have to piecemeal this whole process.

The main question is, do I continue the story as is (as it still isn't finished yet) or edit now rewrite large chunks before continuing?
December 17, 2025 at 12:24 PM
Just not before work today, or after work tomorrow. Or anytime before xmas. My new work schedule will not allow it (I HAD a week off work after xmas, and now I don't. Shifts happen.).

I have just enough time today to get some notes made, and maybe after work look at restructuring the story a bit.
December 17, 2025 at 12:24 PM
I mean, yes, obviously.

The frustration and annoyance at ones self is all part of the creative process after all. I want to write, and I will edit the shit out of this story if it kills me.

Dickhead mistakes and narrative fuck-ups be damned, I will complete this utter mess!
December 17, 2025 at 12:24 PM
But I did LATER, after I'd written about 80k words worth of story. I must have instinctually known I'd fucked up because I gave it a rest for a while (5 months to be exact).

Did I leave myself any notes?

Yes.

About this little fuck up?

NO!

Can I fix it?

Fuck knows!

Am I going to try?

But sadly, some of that bollocks also bulks up some/most of certain story and plot elements without meaning to, and having re-read most of it, now makes little to no sense.

Why would anyone make the choices I made in this story?

Oh yeah, I had not the vaguest clue what was happening at the time.
December 17, 2025 at 12:24 PM
I've had to start a 'Fuck-up' list.

Basically, a lot of the story was not 'set in stone' when I started, having only a vague idea of what I wanted to write.

So I started the story and filled in the blanks with FILLER as I went. Some of that FILLER is not PLOT and STORY, the rest is bollocks.
