🚨 Out now!

@bingyiyang.bsky.social and coauthors report subtype-specific influenza cross-reactivity patterns, including rapid declines for A(H3N2) within 6 years, and increased cross-reactive responses in humans after repeated A(H3N2) exposure.

Breadth of influenza A antibody cross-reactivity varies by virus isolation interval and subtype - Nature Microbiology
The authors find subtype-specific influenza cross-reactivity patterns, including rapid declines for A(H3N2) within 6 years, sustained responses for A(H1N1)pdm09 and increased cross-reactive responses ...

Our latest work about influenza A cross-reactivity breadth is out. While complex, the antibody raised from a virus can cross react to viruses isolated within ~6 years for H3. rdcu.be/eqjg1

Assessing the effectiveness of travel control measures in preventing imported COVID-19 cases reveals the critical role of travel volume
Although travel control measures have played a key role in mitigating COVID-19 spread in certain regions, few empirical observational studies have spe…

Our work on correlations of protection of neutralizing antibodies and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines are just out: rdcu.be/em52E
We found VE against severe diseases and deaths > 80% even when neutralizing antibodies at the detective threshold, suggesting other possible immunity in protection.
Comparative duration of neutralizing responses and protections of COVID-19 vaccination and correlates of protection
Nature Communications - Neutralizing antibody titers are considered possible correlates of protection against SARS-CoV-2, but vaccine efficacy for Omicron infections is high despite reduced titers....
