It's gloomy weather, on-and-off raining. We did see a feral cat at the park today, along with more jackrabbits than usual.

The usual geese, crows, pigeons, jackrabbits, ground squirrels.
Coots and cormorants are starting to come back. #bird
Also raccoons and a coyote 🦊this past week, and feral cats.

I assume that must be a 170-something-mile pipeline,
or a 17-mile underwater piece near the end of a land-based pipeline, because otherwise there's a small matter of NJ and NYC being in the way?

I've heard that before. And yes, there are times that marginal costs of electricity are low, if you're using capital equipment like solar panels and windmills instead of consumable fuels.
But Australia has about 10x as much land per person as the US,
so solar's especially good there.

I'm sorry, WHAT? Maybe they can match me by fingerprints from the security clearance I had in the 80s, and maybe a face match from my 20-year-old passport, back before my hair was gray, but that's highly unlikely. My DL's not a citizenship doc.
