When it’s November and there’s frost and fog, it typically means you’re playing your final round of the season. This wasn’t my best year, but I finished today with the lowest score in my foursome and managed to get two pars and one birdie. 🏌️‍♂️

What a great experience seeing this performance on opening night.

Resurrecting a SABR bio that’s been on hold for too long. ⚾️

Today marks 17 years and 208,192 miles (and significantly less gas) later, my 2009 Toyota Prius is still in great shape.

Yesterday I stumbled upon one of my Elmhurst College art projects. I remember my goal was to create Polaroid transfers that might appear on a New Order album cover. 📸

A great reminder that nature is amazing.

In honor of Veteran’s Day, here’s the SABR bio of Dwight’s own Eddie Higgins. He served during WWI in the Army’s medical department at Camp Grant near Rockford, Illinois. Thanks to the Dwight Historical Society for helping to tell his story. ⚾️ sabr.org/bioproj/pers...

I hate blocking baseball accounts on social media, but there are tons of bad and inaccurate AI images floating around. FYI, this was a joke image I created a few years ago. Is that one guy in front row OK?! ⚾️

But I should admit, this one is currently being read. Not entirely baseball, but heavy does of the game are included.

Have you ever been in a room and felt like you were trapped inside an early 1990s screensaver?

Working on the invitation for our 26th annual Adopt-A-Family Holiday Party. 🎁

I finished reading the book, "The Name of This Band is R.E.M" the other day so naturally I've been watching the band's old videos. First, I accidentally had captions on (thanks for the reminder that I was listening to dramatic rock music). Second, does that guy have a Yankees logo on his cap?

Our Halloween decorations are passing judgment on anyone setting up Christmas decorations today. 🤔

With the World Series in the books, it’s time to wind down the year with fall golf. The colors were outstanding this morning.

That was one hell of a World Series, but I feel terrible for Blue Jays fans. They had this game all but wrapped up. ⚾️

Extra innings > clock change > early Sunday golf = me on the first hole.

With all this talk about Grover Cleveland Alexander … a friendly reminder that he spent time in Dwight, Illinois at the Keeley Institute. ⚾️😉

Our extra-inning World Series had a rain delay. 🌧️⚾️

Who’s going to write the SABR game summary of this one? ⚾️

What. An. Inning. ⚾️

Of course Game Seven would take this turn. ⚾️

Nine years ago I attend the most important baseball game of my life. We had tickets to the first World Series game (Game Three) played on Chicago’s North Side since 1945. The final score wasn’t great (1-0), but the experience was unmatched. www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CH... ⚾️

Toronto is a solid team, but I didn’t expect that outcome for Game One. ⚾️
