That 1-1 pitch to Tolbert was a strike. Terrible call and it ended up costing the #Mets the game. No way he gets on base if he falls behind 1-2 in the count.

There's a reason a catcher with as good an arm as Torrens posseses has been a career backup, and the #Mets are seeing that reason on the field right now. He cannot hit at all. OPS below .600. Alvarez has to have the job back on Friday night. He just has to.

Every time it comes around I forget that the #CONCACAF Gold Cup doesn't play OT and instead goes straight to PKs. And every time it makes me sad and angry.

I'm only up to Best Director discussion, but @joeposnanski.bsky.social and @kentremendous.bsky.social at any point before the end do you guys figure out that 1990 was 35 years ago (not 25)? Until Joe said 1988 was 27 years ago I assumed it must eventually dawn on you, but now I'm really wondering.
