i mean, there's like a bajillion nods to Torah bc the protagonist is a pretty not-subtle Moshe parallel. but as to, you know, more contemporary books.... tbh idk if there are any clear ones! there's some intentional tone similarity to LOTR/The Hobbit but thats just bc, well, those books rule
