🗣️ Promote open engagement from members of the community in the civic and cultural life of the Square Mile

Establishing this network has been my pipe dream. I hope it's a space for a richly diverse Muslim #SquareMile community to enrich each other as well as engaging in our shared #civic space. Now more than ever, I think #communities need a space to be seen and heard throughout all parts of society.

I've accepted an invitation from the City of London Corporation to be the first Convenor of the City Muslim Network, one of the City Belonging Networks launched as part of Lord Mayor Alastair King mayoral theme #growthunleashed

I think that when I was younger, politicians were really larger than life, immutable totems. We knew what they were about. No one epitomised that more than #JohnPrescott. He lived and breathed the Trade Unionist movement and the Labour Party. The world is dimmer without him.
