Productivity has flatlined across the UK since the financial crisis, costing the economy tens of billions a year.

If govt is serious about raising both growth and living standards – the mission on which its success depends – it must deliver a step change in productivity growth.

There's no way to spin this. I think we are on the precipice of a dangerous political pivot in the west. And entirely based on the US govt.

The President of the United States seems openly fine with permanently displacing an entire people while he sits next to the man responsible for the destruction.

I get tired at how angry this makes me

Just to remind you that Kendrick wrote 'Not Like Us' out of spite, wrath and vengeance. It is the now one of the most awarded and played rap songs of all time.

Every now and then, going low to soar high works.

Privatisation doesn't work, not for @ThamesWater customers or our rivers, lakes, seas and wildlife.

It's time to bring Thames Water back into public ownership.

It's time to end the fat cats pocketing 💷 instead of investing in infrastructure.

How do I know #Diversity #Inclusion and #Equity matter? Because it's being politicised, muffled and scrapped at the world's biggest companies to placate the world's richest man. Here's Marc Zuckerberg cowtowing to Elon Musk.

There are more than a million British people with Pakistani heritage in the UK.

For the Shadow Home Secretary to suggest they have an "alien" and "medieval" culture and to smear them by association with the crimes of a tiny minority, is the politics of the far-right gutter.

Labour’s manifesto made no mention of the WASPI women and Reeves said “I have not set out any money” before the election.

I don’t think you can call this a betrayal.

Genuine question - what is "high" threshold? Is this based on modelling the workforce we need to cope with an aging population, low productivity and declining birth rate? I'm guessing/hoping it would
BREAKING: ONS figures show 20% fall in long-term net migration from June 2023-2024, mainly because of declining numbers of dependants arriving on study visas.

But figures still high – 728,000 in year ending in June, down from revised number for previous year of 906,000.
