The company constructing the Clinton Ave extension in Sleepy Hollow closed the sidewalk, but didn't include a curb ramp. We wrote to the Building Dept to ask for a temporary ramp.
A sidewalk blocked by construction barriers. No curb ramp is provided to get around it.

Variable Message Signs are generally a waste and often counter-productive. On many occasions, particularly when displaying detailed info, the signs produce miles long congestion b/c people driving slow down to read/process the info.

Put a non-glass item between glass items. Keeps the glass from breaking when you go over bumps.

Yesterday was beautiful.

Leveraged nice weather to replace brake pads. Noticed some rear left spokes had no tension. (Factory built wheels.👎) Tightened up all spokes. Struck spokes w/ wrench to hear 🎶, which indicates tension. Adjusted tension to equlalize. Now it's nice and true!

Make Roosevelt Blvd one lane per direction. Turn signalized intersections into roundabouts or priority squares.

Works great on 't Goylaan in Utrecht.
Same street that's one lane per direction, with a wide median creating a chicane like curve approaching the intersection. Intersection is kind of like a roundabout. Has a 2 head signal to stop vehicles on the main road if the intersection gets congested. (Left turn lane, 2 through lanes, right turn lane.) 2 motor vehicle lanes are heading the opposite direction are on the other side of a narrow median. Same street that is now one lane per direction, with a narrow median between intersections and a wide median at intersections. Creates a chicane like curve approaching the intersection. See the person walking in motor vehicle lanes to get around this construction zone? That's why the MUTCD* Section 6C.02 says to provide direct, protected detours around work zones for people walking/cycling. NYSDOT doesn't care.

Remember this when officials say they can't do something b/c MUTCD.

This intersection was built like two years ago. This design was built, despite decades of blatant bloodshed proving traffic engineers in the United States don't know what they are doing. Know why? Because they're in a cult.

While Courtyard by Marriot hasn't seen the light yet in terms of plowing their sidewalks, we saw Greenburgh's Code Enforcement Officer proactively snapping photos along Benedict Ave yesterday, so they'll be getting a hefty fine!

Got the DOT's contractors to fix the temporary curb ramp around the construction zone, and put up a barrel to keep it from getting plowed.

Kids on bikes always cheers us up.

Kid riding a 20" wheel mountain bike on a freshly paved path. A red tent bag is strapped to the back rack. Two families cycling home from school on a wide protected bike lane in downtown Utrecht. A kid on a bike, a mom next to them. Another kid biking is hidden from us behind the mom. Then another kid riding next to their mom (who has another kid standing on their rear rack.) A grandfather and granddaughter cycling next to each other on a protected cycle path on a downtown street. His hand is on her shoulder. Another kid is in a child seat on the grandfather's back rack. Four kids cycling through the junction of three cycle paths. One kid waves and says hi to another.
