Normalize gifting experiences instead of things. I'm so tired of being gifted random, useless stuff year after year. So much of it is not thoughtful nor is it stuff I want or need. I'm not trying to sound ungrateful but I'm so tired of people gifting random crap that had zero thought put into it

My son has had back to back ear infections, the flu and now hand foot mouth disease...all in a 2 month span. I genuinely have no idea how anyone has more than 1 kid. I COULD NOT IMAGINE taking care of multiple sick kids like this, on top of paying for the constant doctor visits and medications.....

Today I learned "squash hands" is a thing. I peeled and cut a butternut squash and my hand turned orange, the skin started peeling and my entire hand went numb. It lasted about an hour and then went away. So bizarre

Why don't any kids menus ever offer vegetables? Like can't you just have a side of cooked carrots or broccoli or something? Like every single restaurant around here just offers Mac n cheese, burger, pasta with butter or chicken tenders and that's all. That's not a meal

Went to the dentist this morning and my dental hygienist asked if we were thinking about more kids. I said no cause it's so expensive. Later on, I go pickup my son from daycare only to find out rates are going up 🙄

Theory: Part of the reason why people aren't having kids at all or as many as in the past, is partially due to finances. But a bigger reason is that any kind of village has been absolutely decimated in a post COVID world. Everyone is so much more isolated so raising kids alone is impossible.

Geez...the local grocery store bakery has a cake that serves 50 people for $45. There's a local bakery and they wanted $175 (yes $175) for the exact same size cake...I get it's more custom but like, WHO TF IS OUT HERE SPENDING ALMOST $200 JUST ON THE CAKE FOR A BIRTHDAY?
