It’s better to fight ICE when they’re stuck in the garage. They fire tear gas toward the street but never near the parking lot entrance. To do so would choke their only source of air.

Once they’re in the streets, they will fire tear gas until they’re all out. Keep them pinned.

Never forget, if you plan cities for cars and traffic, you get cars and traffic. If you plan cities for people and places, you get people and places.

Plan for the city you want.

"In other words, for every dollar lost in slightly increased travel times, the report estimates New Zealand gains between NZ$2 and $10 in reduced crash costs"

Lol great article on the complete lack of any benefit (and therefore sense) to raising speeds.

False economies: the evidence shows higher speed limits don’t make financial sense
Documents show the government is going against expert advice and strong economic evidence by insisting higher speed limits will improve productivity.

Last week I had a very interesting conversation with an expert in needs-orientated design.

We discussed autonomous driving and the fact that I take a critical view of it as long as there is no systemic plan behind it, just enthusiasm for technology.
