El Paso, TX has a cool old streetcar.

"These vehicles are the same streetcars that ran on El Paso streets from the 1950s until 1974"

In fairness, Google Workspace offers higher cost 'editions', up to $35 per month. But my lowly $12/month (soon $14) already "unlocks the full power of AI."

We have unlimited Gemini Pro usage, first access to the new AI generations. They call my access 'Pro'.

Will Google recoup it's estimated $91B in 2025 AI infrastructure spend?

Pricing of Google Workspace will increase by $2/month, $24/year (to $144/yr) in 2026 for AI upgrades. At that rate, Google would need 3.8B paid users to cover additional AI costs. They have only 10M paying Workspace users.

Van slams into Bremerton house.

Emergency responders remind all houses to wear bright Xmas lights, let's they temp wayward vans to enter unannounced.

Trees, ok, bummer about the trees.

But Traffic Reduction? No transit project can reduce traffic, that’s an impossible standard. in a place like LA? The goal is create alternatives to sitting in traffic.

I like gondolas for short distance, point-to-point mass transit. Proven tech (ski areas) light infrastructure (just big poles) and move lots of people (5k per hour).

I don’t know LA or these neighborhoods, but… damn it’s hard to build stuff in America.

Your only homeless plan ever got shot down two years ago, Mr. Mayor. You've offered nothing since. Have anything supportive to say about the plan that the rest of the city is rallying around?

Oh, no you don't.

I love when people slap irreverent stickers on public signs.

However, my people, don’t obscure information on the sign with your sticker. Signs are useful, don’t break them.

They plan to spend $13.7m to widen a 0.24 mile stretch of Ridgetop Blvd - that's $57m per mile!!

The plan would expand a 3 lane road to 5 lanes, and add an unprotected gutter bike lane, while lengthening crosswalks and encouraging speeding.

I like Trail-Oriented Development. Hooray. But there's no money on the horizon to get that done. Some nice lines on a map, no plan.

And they mention 'Low Stress Network' and 'Complete Streets', but recent and planned developments don't conform to Low Stress or Complete Streets. Hmmm.

Upcoming City of Brem meeting will discuss the street closure of Quincy Square. Since opening in June 2025, Q Square has been closed to cars on weekends. A big success.

It should be closed to private vehicles permanently. Make it Bremerton's Front Porch! www.bremertonwa.gov/Calendar.asp...

My Japan hot take:

Skip Tokyo: soulless, expensive and with an style/image/style/money thing that… meh. It’s too much to take in. A better mega city is Osaka/Nara/Kyoto- all the same shit, better vibe.

And the countryside is better still.
