My jokes are real dumb.

We believe ACAB/BLM and we are pro-Palestine/anti-violence around here.

For years, our 40 minute drive to church was punctuated by the Too Much Christmas House. Every inflatable and plastic ornament imaginable, littered across the yard with lights everywhere. They'd put it up in October and take it down in March, sometimes May.

And then one year, it was just gone.

My sister is corn-intolerant and she will forgive us for making it, for tradition and our mental health.

This is always easy for me. Stuffing can stuff it. Although turkey can also go if it means I can bring in corn casserole to replace it.

My work gives us vouchers for either a free ham or free turkey from the local Fareway in November and you better believe we take advantage. 🤝

$3 gravy as an add-on is insane. It's literally made from other parts of the meal. Hawaiian rolls are absolutely the most expensive item there. But I suppose that means we get more good things, huh.

You can just...make this and eat it as an adult. At any time. And you know what? That's the friends we made along the way.

My church does shopping trips at least once a year to restock the food bank at a shelter for survivors of abuse. The organization isn't even religious. I don't want to deny OP's experience, but I am bummed out about the over-generalization. The more progressive religious orgs defs don't do this.

Elon couldn't gatekeep this bit, but he did elongate it by sending it to a new platform.

Only in the Midwest would someone run away to a commune in Iowa (proud cornfed Iowan here).
