Last week,Kristina and I dognapped (with permission) one of the puppies at Companions Animal Center and gave her an adventure at Farragut State Park in Idaho.
Two days later, she went home to her forever family.

This one I shot a few years ago at the sled dog races in Priest Lake, Idaho.
I love shooting dogs in action. I think it harkens back to my life as a sports reporter. I loved firing off multiple rolls of film at hockey, rugby, whatever. It was way more fun than the writing.

I volunteer as a dog photographer at a shelter and last year I got this image of Simba standing so proudly, awaiting his forever future. It was my highest scoring image in the International Pet Photography Awards for 2024.
