Yes, Necessary is my real last name. Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Red Wings, Indiana Pacers, Cincinnati Bengals fan. Staunch believer in the religious experience and power of video games. Also, amateur baseball historian.
Things lately have been depressing. Remember that depression itself is a different battle for everyone. What has worked for me doesn't work for everyone else. Antidepressants didn't work for me but I know they work for others. It's a daily struggle. If you're dealing with it, there's help for you.

Am I the only one who sees something advertised by Kevin Hart and say to themself, "Yeah, I'm never getting that," but only because he's is pushing it?

People keep talking about spilling the tea. I got yelled at once for doing that but my grandma didn't really like me that much. She was a bitch though.

You'd think at some point, that someone in MLB would sit the umps down and teach them what the strike zone is, not the box on TV because that's an estimate, but get them to actually call a strike a strike and a ball a ball. It's not a good look to let them continue to be this bad. That's my rant.

So, this is for my baseball peeps, the 2020 National League Cy Young winner whose name I refuse to type, was sent down from his NPB team to the Japanese minor leagues after posting a near 5 ERA which was the highest amongst NPB started pitchers.

Back in 2017, I wrote a story opining that Dave Parker was the best free agent signing the Reds have ever had. In my mind, that still holds up. www.mlb.com/reds/news/da...

As most if not all of you know, I'm a baseball fan. It says in my bio that I'm amateur baseball historian. I study the game, love the game (sometimes it doesn't love me back), but I wanna hear from my fellow baseball fans on here, not favorite team or player, that moment you loved the game?

Ok, I'm watching NHL Draft for first time. I know most of these picks will spend a few seasons in minors but this is so much cooler than the NFL Draft which can be boring.

Sitting here watching second round of NBA Draft, I love sports drafts. Then, I started thinking underrated/overlooked video games. One popped into my head that was a core memory from childhood, San Francisco Rush.

You know how sometimes weird memories from your childhood pop into your brain? Like I'm sitting here thinking about baseball and my mind goes, "You remember Heads Up, 7 Up?" I was like...

If the accusations against San Francisco Giants reliever Sean Hjelle are true, I sincerely hope MLB suspends him as long as they possibly can under the Domestic Violence Policy.

Ok, I'm dying because of a memory from my days of being a student-manager for my high school basketball team. One day in the layup line, one of my buddies flung the ball up too high and we nicknamed the shot "Massaging God." He was never a good shooter but did everything else. (1/2)

Elly De La Cruz, who is the most frustrating at times big name player in MLB, today is showing why people think he's gonna be a megastar. Great defensive play and a massive home run.

Ludacris concert after tonight's Reds/Tigers game in Detroit. Ahh, flashbacks to high school dances when me, my best friend, and another buddy would basically perform Usher's Yeah. I was always Ludacris, my best friend was Lil Jon, and our buddy was Usher mostly because he could dance. Lol

Cruelest of ironies: I was planning to watch Pacers game here in a little bit. I don't watch NBA as much as I would like so I was looking through my hats to find my modern Pacers hat. All I could find was my retro Pacers hat. It doesn't fit my head. I guess my grandpa was right calling me Fathead.
