Retired now. LOVED practicing and teaching diagnostic radiology. We love the great music in Cleveland, especially Apollo’s Fire and Cleveland Orchestra. Love CMA, CMNH, AMNH, and The Met museum. Instead of massive CO2-emitting “vroom-vroom,” we sail.
Invest NOW in funeral homes, gravestone makers, etc.

Little comment necessary. Lots of people seem desperate to have "a thing" and for many their "thing" became gluten. Now billions being spent to provide gluten-free everything. I'm waiting to see the ads for gluten-free water.

Sounds like a description of the entire Trump administration, including Donald.

It seems to be that if the American people can just blithely ignore this new Pentagon policy as detailed in The Atlantic, if they just shrug, that the American experiment is over and it failed.

This is from a Scientific American newsletter yesterday. GOP/MAGA unscientific twaddle has caused premature mortality and avoidable morbidity, and will cause more.

This from Scientific America. Obvious problem is the most Americans just don't give a damn if they are not personally affected.

I've been saying this for years, but I can't believe that I agree with Robert Bork of all people! This is from a wonderful article in The Atlantic.

I’ve made this same comment about Trump losing appeal on his defamation of E. Jean Carroll:
I love the smell of schadenfreud in the morning.

The peer-review process for scientific publishing isn’t perfect, but it’s infinitely better at climbing towards proven fact and truth than in any other profession. When errors become known it’s because scientists find them.
So, please heap contempt on RFK, Jr.

The legendary City Club tries very hard to respect all political opinion, but even devotees of that philosophy cannot tolerate lies, corruption, and bigotry.

Note the phase below (from The Contrarian) of “economic reality.”
I’ve argued for decades that Creationism’s dishonesty about proven physical reality bleeds over into all sorts of dishonesty about facts…of climate science, election results, etc. Tragic mistake to tolerate the lie of Creationism.

I am so disgusted that the Democratic Party is so tepid and stupid that it can’t use this (from Heather Cox Richardson) to pummel GOP politicians who have supported Trump.

Profoundly stupid, ignorant, and gullible morons believe Trump and his minions and their utter bullshit and innocent people die.

Predictions with absolute certainty. 1) Fox "News" will lie about this or not report it at all. 2) The Democratic Party is too feeble to wage a major campaign to put this in the face of most Americans.

From an essay in The Atlantic. Frankly, to me it's a lot of stupid, ignorant and foolish people whose minds have been twisted by right wing propaganda, such as Fox "News".
