(Sadly, I bet this pretty much what some savvy investors are doing. I say sadly because a.) the impact for the rest of us is pretty awful and b.) it means I can't get rich selling smart investment advice like this.)

A CD ladder, purchased through my investment company, was very easy to develop. The rates of the CDs were competitive with treasuries.

Great article to consider sequence of return risk at the beginning of retirement. As someone who is worried about the current very high PE ratio, my answer is to ladder CDs to provide income for the first 5 years of retirement. % invested in equities will rise as the income from CDs is withdrawn

Here’s the annual usage, which is more important than real time or instantaneous values which shift rapidly. The generation trend is clear. Fossil fuels are decreasing. Biomass is flat and renewables are increasing. I’d like to see it shift faster, but this is progress. 🧪🔌💡☀️💨🔋
