It’s listen to black voices until being told to put down the blaccent and AAVE, and the other ways in which y’all are willfully appropriating and causing harm. If you choose to surround yourself with ignorant people and are complicit, you’re not the ally you think you are or any better of a person.

It’s very clear to me that a lotta y’all are performative activists, and are completely fine with that. I dunno if y’all are just getting too comfortable, but it feels like y'all don't actually fuck with black people, but wanna stay in proximity to us as if that gives your ignorance a pass.

Saying a character’s blackness is just “perceived” and “up to interpretation” is weird. It’s a weird ass thing to say. That’s literally what white DA fans told me when I said that Merrill and Morrigan were whitewashed. It’s gaslighting.
