A little side project completed. Four MDF dashboards for What a Tanker. It's high time I got my tanks out on the table again.

My camera bag is packed, and I'm ready for the SALUTE wargames show tomorrow. I'll be there early, covering the event for my channel, Miniature Adventures TV. I'm looking forward to seeing great games, exploring the traders and meeting friends old and new.

Facebook just popped up a 'memory' from five years ago when I commissioned my then-brand-new Operations Room. Whenever I use my phone for our groups weekly Paint and Chat sessions, the camera takes random pictures of me while I paint. I think it's supposed to be responding to the subject smiling, but all the pictures of me are Gawpy 😆.

Overwhelmed with joy meeting my first grandchild 😊. I told him all about my toy soldiers and said he can come round to play with grandpa whenever he likes. We're going to have so much fun.

My project for the day, making medieval roads. This batch represent unmaintained Roman road, the next lot I do will be slightly narrower trackways. As with my other recent terrain projects these are all made using felt. The fuzzy underside adheres very nicey to fleece battlement.

Sadly I can't be at The Other Partizan today. However I'm trying to be philosophical about it and am looking forward to enjoying the day vicariously through posts here and elsewhere. In the meantime here's a pic a took at Partizan back in May this year. #theotherpartizan #wargaming

D&D night this evening. Our group have been playing together for decades (since school in fact) but now use zoom to play as we are scattered across three continents.

Playing with my 6mm War of the Roses collection for a couple of days (to distract myself from the fact I can't attend Partizan in Newark this weekend 😞)

Working on some 6mm medieval buildings from Levan Miniatures today. Good to be back at my painting desk, albeit for short periods of time, following an enforced hiatus due to illness.
