361. Pusher 2 - crime thriller sequel, a supporting character from the 1st being the main in this film. After being released from prison an untrustworthy guy tries to find a footing but being a possible father makes it hard. Better than the 1st film for me, both are great

359. The town that dreaded sundown (1976) - based on the true events about a masked man who assaults and kills woman in a small town in the 40s. The film is a mix of slasher style horror & police procedural. Its an odd mix and the comedy from the police is really jarring. Just ok

339-358. Alan clarke BBC filmography - should have done these individual but consistently powerful and political. The works make you think, from “to encourage others” to “pendas fen”, “scum” to “elephant” & “the firm”. Often excellent work, the common critique is films endings

338. Ms.45 - bleak revenge thriller, after a mute woman is raped she then falls into spiral of fear, pain and paranoia. A dark and dirty NYC is the backdrop to one of the more classy rape revenge films that show the fear of women and predatory men

337. Space truckers - from the director of re-animator comes a sci-fi comedy about truckers but in space. A fun cast and some practical effects are good but it just doesn’t hit the mark for me. Talent in front and behind the camera and its film that doesn’t land for me

336. Galaxy quest - sci-fi comedy about a group of washed up actors who were on a star trek style show in the 80s, aliens ask for help when they think the show was real. An excellent look at fandom, it clearly loves its subject matter. The cast is amazing, Tim allen is ok too

335. An inspector calls - social drama, a affluent family is visited by an inspector looking into the death of a young woman. The film looks at tearing down the rich, affluent and privileged in a very gentle way. Its a solid film Alastair sim is great in a non threatening way

334. Bad hair - horror comedy about an evil weave that gives you lets the woman wearing it get ahead in work but it has a thirst for blood. It takes the jordan peele slant of horror & pushes it to an almost OTT level yo bring out the comedy. Its got a little shop of horrors vibe

Cant wait for amsterdamed 2! I was in the city in the summer and hoped it was already out

333. Humoresque - romantic drama, a struggling musician starts a romance with a headstrong socialite but theres trouble brewing. Stock by the numbers but whats interesting are the musical interludes. mediocre but Crawford is given glasses as a character trait, silly
