Derrick Henry is now the NFL’s 20th all-time leading rusher, passing O.J. Simpson and Corey Dillon. No one has entered the top 20 in quite a few years and no one else will be joining the club any time soon. Congrats, King Henry.

In 1991 @leftfielddan.bsky.social and I flew to CA to go to the A’s first 5 games of the season to see Rickey Henderson break Brock’s SB record. In the first game he tied Billy Hamilton at 937 (now credited with 914). In the third game he got hurt. We missed the record but had a blast. RIP Rickey!

I remember when Nolan Ryan signed the first $1 million per year contract in 1979. I think that means I’m getting old. But at least I still can remember. 😂 LGM!

As much as I wanted Vic Harris and Luis Tiant to be elected today, it is hard to be upset with Dick Allen finally getting in after two recent misses and Dave Parker making it while he is alive to hear the news. The other 6 are all HOFers to me and hopefully one day they will get their due.
