One blackberry pie, to be served tomorrow on the occasion of my friend’s birthday. :)

Finished blanket! The blue here seems more green in the photos than it does in person, though admittedly it is a bit on the teal spectrum.

Current project: wedding blanket for my oldest—hoping to get it done before school starts again.

All right, friends, help me figure out what this is.

#WIPWednesday This is the Solar Flare Shawl by VeryBusyMonkey on Ravelry. It’s going pretty well. The yarn has a long, fairly subtle shift from orangey red to bright cool red, so I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product.

My favorite Richard Chamberlain role was the lead in the TV movie Man in the Iron Mask from 1977. His Louis XIV, the Sun King, lives in my head rent free.

This is the Eventide pattern by Dawn Barker, using assigned pooling to make a long loop scarf. I just finished it and I really super love it.

In this case, the pattern is called Eventide, and it makes a garter stitch scarf with aster stitches for the CC, and I LOVE it. In the end it'll be an infinity scarf, but for now it's just super relaxing and pretty.

My darling stripey idiot Sandy is at the emergency vet with my husband because she's still sick after a very long night, and according to reports she's ruthlessly suppressing her barfing symptoms in the presence of strangers even as she's trembling like a leaf. Argh, dog. Good thoughts, please.

Two sock heels, alike in dignity but unlike each other and I just now realized it. Argh

I should be grading, but my dog has a vet check up so I can’t! Oh no! Whatever shall I do! Sandy has opinions, clearly.

Noodle just wants you to know how very unfair it is that bedtime is interrupting his couch nap, despite his very clever camouflage.

Back left paw stretched out and comfy, belonging to Noodle.

Current pair of socks I’m working on. Just started sock #2. Love this yarn!

This is this holiday’s pecan pie. I’m rather pleased with it.

Post a picture you took (no description) to bring some zen to the timeline.

This is Sandy. She's happy to see you, at least after she figures out you're not a monster or a evil spirit sent to... well, she's not sure, but it wouldn't be good. She is not bright, but she means well, and by means well I mean licks everything as her primary form of contact. She says hi.

This dog, one Noodle by name, is clearly the picture of offended innocence. Yet as his body processes the beefsteak tomato he stole off the counter yesterday, we can clearly tell that he is LYING thanks to his farts. I understand that tomatoes are delicious, but seriously, doggo.
