Yeah I relate. I also mask as much as I can. I've only gotten normal sick maybe like 2 times in the past 5 years. I suffer from severe breathing issues yet I'm still able to mask.

The nasal splints I need for my surgery is 300$. Plus I'll need to cover the transportation costs to get to my surgery and all my post surgery appointments. Since I won't be allowed to drive. I'll need to stock up on heavy products since I won't be able to lift during recovery.

I know a lot of it is people not understanding medical racism & how serious it is. It's not just one or two things. It affects every single aspect of my care in the medical system.

For example, if I ask my doctors for a letter. They won't do it because their other patients don't need it to get care

This is so insulting and feels victim blamey. Instead of telling me what to do or say. Maybe listen more and maybe try to learn to be anti racist.

I know I'm blocked by some people in the CC community because of false accusations due to me quietly blocking a white lady. She spread some awful lies about me. I'm also Black so there's often an aspect of racism too.
