Well done to Emily Ball, our second-place winner in the JRA Poster Exhibition!

Emily’s research, “An Investigation into Emetophobia, Neurodivergence and Interoception,” was supervised by Dr Louisa Rinaldi and Dr Giulia Poerio.

Do you know of anyone doing research on vomiting?
Any gastroenterologists, psychologists, other scientists, ....?

So far, our emetophobia network includes researchers, people with lived experience, and psychotherapists from Germany, the USA, Australia.

Please feel free to share and repost!
Does anyone know anyone doing research on emetophobia, the phobic fear of vomiting?

We are building a network of researchers and therapists who are trying to improve the knowledge in this field.

Before I go to bed I need to share a huge win.

I have OCD, Emetophobia & a history of Eating Disorder.

These haven't always been at the same level - it all depends on where I am mentally as a whole.

For years I haven't been able to eat chicken.

I have eaten chicken twice this month. Go me 😊

The cycle of nausea and anxiety can be extremely powerful in emetophobia - but it can be broken.

For 13 years I avoided wearing a shirt because I associated it with nausea. I kept it because I hoped one day I could put it back on. Eventually I did.
