My new book is out! Follow Yarin the 44th Oracle as she tries to manage a diplomatic incident, prevent a mono outbreak among the lead cast in the school play, stop the lighting crew from quitting, and keep the prima donna actress playing an Oracle happy.

Just had an awesome #DnD session. My PCs have been in a magic forest, The Deep Woods, on a hunt. For the whole trek, they've been hearing the calls of a beast called the Rootshaker. On their way out a giant shapeshifting creature pinned them down, only for the Rootshaker to come out of the trees.

Got to end my #DnD session on a spooky note. My players were pushing deeper into a trackless swamp when they encountered a two-headed Cyclops building funeral Cairns for two other cyclopes. As they hurried away the two-headed cyclops called out "Beware the Red-Eyed Mimic!"

Good times!

Do anyone else's cats insist on being part of #DnD prep, or are mine just weird?

Been testing a money/magic item system for #DnD 5e called Pass The Loot in my current game. Today a player randomly rolled a pair of magic halfling pants that gave a +2 to performance. The Special Performance Pants were the star of the session. I think I've got a great idea on my hands.

A few years back I ran a Pathfinder game that one of my players decided to serialize. The epilogue just got posted, if you want to see what the best campaign I ever ran looks like, check it out!

Some days I get to come home to these weirdos on the porch and it's just the best. All hail the fluffiest Cerebrus!

Finally finished The Legend of Drizzt! I wrapped it up in the Great North Woods with the closest thing I could find to Feywine. Two top moments that come to mind are the last Tiago vs. Drizzt fight and Obould's ascension. It was a wild ride from start to finish @rasalvatore.bsky.social !

About to go camping well beyond the reach of cell towers and disconnect for a few days. Wish me luck!

Working on the hub town for my #DnD campaign. Greenhaven is coming along well. Now to fill it specific locations and NPC's.

Been working on using terrain in my #DnD encounters. I found these neat 1 inch counting blocks and used them to make a ruined garden in the mystical Deep Woods. It went pretty well, the druid used the yellow blocks to establish how high he was in bird form.

Put together a bunch of my new Munchkin cards and played them for the first time. If you like Munchkin, get yourself the Double Dungeons expansion. It adds so much to the game!

My book audit has brought me into some philosophical territory. I found a #Lovecraft collection. Do I keep a book I appreciate but don't enjoy? Lovecraft is too bleak for me, but I appreciate his skill and impact. Do I set it loose for someone else to enjoy or keep it around for reference?

Getting set up for the first session of a new #dnd campaign. It's been a few weeks since we had everyone over and I think the pets are more excited than I am.

Book Audit continues! I know what I'm getting rid of, so now I have to determine what goes on the shelf and what goes into storage. To help with that, I've sorted them into helpful categories like Forgotten Realms, College Books, Fullmetal Alchemist, Religion, General History, Military History, etc

I was cleaning off my desk and I found these two badge clips, I get one every year at Portcon. I think these two would get along, don't you.?

I stumbled upon a flock of Canadian Geese on my kayak today. Luckily, they were cool about it

So I just found the greatest thing ever. During Prohibition, when alcohol was banned in the US, there were two factions in support and opposition. Pro-prohibition people were called the Drys and anti-prohibition people were called the Wets, leading to the greatest campaign slogan of all time...

Interesting things I've gotten to say at work.

Co-worker: There are some teenagers hanging out around the sinkhole in the parking lot.

Me: Are they IN the sinkhole? No? Okay, that's fine. If they get in it, find me, and I'll deal with it.

The book audit continues, now pulling out books from storage. Some progress, the two totes are for donation/Bull Moose, while everything on the desk and floor remains in the keep pile. I also found a box of nerf guns that are going to Goodwill.

The first pass on my book audit, focusing on my bookshelf first. Keep on the left, get rid of on the right. I may need to be more aggressive.

Well, finally sat down and got to writing on my next project. Got the first chapter written and...realized it's all wrong and I need to do it over. Progress!

I'm about to embark on a task that will test my willpower to the extreme.

It's time to audit all books to see what can stay and what must go.

Wish me luck.
