Coalition for the Homeless staff and board members were at the Salvation Army today, handing out backpacks full of supplies to Louisvillians and connecting them to other resources. Thanks to Councilman Ken Herndon for stopping by and to all partners for participating.

Great to see The Chancery ribbon cutting today. It will provide 34 more units of permanent supportive housing in Louisville, which is the proven best way to address chronic homelessness. The project started with a Metro Council appropriation of American Rescue Plan funds in November 2021.

October 15 is White Cane Safety Day, a national celebration of the achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired, a cherished community in the home of the American Printing House for the Blind and the Ky School for the Blind. Good to join a celebration on Frankfort Avenue in Louisville.
