Bhakti Marga: the way of love

The bhakti path is beautiful, deep and rewarding. It is devotion to God, the Ultimate or Source and is one of four major yogas. We attempt to rehabilitate the term, exposing abuse and how to discern cults, especially ones that distort the Bhakti path.
It is important to use our discernment. The high control group led by vishwananda which calls itself Bhakti marga is NOT the path of love, but of idolatry. Groups like this and ISKCON (the Hare Krishnas) use fear and coercive control to manipulate people into devoting their lives to idols, not God.

This is an example of a distortion in the path of love and devotion. Ironically, this organization and teacher use the term bhakti marga, but make no mistake: this is a personality cult to a man and to power, not to God.

Thank you so much for posting this. Unfortunately the devotional path is vulnerable to all sorts of distortion and exploitation, and vishwananda is among the most diabolical of manipulators.
