Slightly autistic literature and video game nerd, part time metalhead and whisky enthusiast. He/him
Probably a rare moment of honesty.

That is far too much credit. He's certainly a grifting, bigoted, Thatcherite bastard but, as far as I can ascertain, he's only riding the wave of racism and xenophobia that's been building up since the early noughties. He isn't its source.

First video game OST (and video game in general) that reduced me to tears. A stunning soundtrack for an unforgettable story. Ngl I had a few gripes even at the time (THAT laughing scene and the 200 lightning dodge for Saturn Sigil being main offenders) but always a game that I am happy to return to.

I would say that it depends greatly on the type and magnitude of the betrayal. Speaking for myself, I can let a lot go but there's still definitely a line not to cross.

Some good video games and some really depressing domestic and international politics. To invoke a Berrism, it really is "like deja vu all over again."

He certainly is but so is everyone involved in such a "sport". Foxes do not deserve to be torn apart by packs of dogs. I am slightly more, shall we say 'ambivalent' about what the people who do this deserve.

Especially when the "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" is literally impossible and was an expression first coined to highlight the blatant absurdity of such a notion. Conservative stupidity is endemic.

As a share of GDP, NHS funding has gone down year after year since 2010. This has been the most consistent squeeze on the NHS since its inception and yet politicians (and not just the blue ones) act confused at the amount of people who are not currently working due to long term sickness.

There's a few of them for me but most follow a theme of people using one of the words of an acronym after using the acronym itself e.g. "ATM machine".

Probably Fantasy, although some of my late favourites have been more in the vein of Historical Fiction.

Not so much an "echo chamber" but often can definitely work on the effectiveness of messaging to those that don't already agree with the majority of our stances.

To the last point, I make it a habit of referring to politicians by their surname. They are elected representatives, not friends.

Completely agree. Autism can cause a lot of things to be more difficult than should be necessary and "being an adult" is often vastly overrated. The puffin is adorable too ☺️.
