There's nothing more painful than hearing someone on a video or podcast recall Escape From New York, but you quickly realize they actually watched Escape From LA

What if I run a ttrpg and say everything is stop motion? And the players just have to deal with that. If they imagine it differently, then their imagination is wrong.

What's with people that call Gardettos "Goredettos"? Or Reese's "Reeseese"? Stop that.

There should be a Zakk Wylde signature guitar pedal that autotunes the notes to that pentatonic scale and replaces randomly chosen notes with randomly selected pinch harmonic samples

Shariff Andy Taylor is a serial killer. Opie's mom's death is not explained. Miss Ellie dissapears. He gets new girlfriend and they're gone by the next episode. The people of Mayberry act oddly because they're terrified they'll end up at the bottom of the fishin' hole with all of Andy's lovers.

Mental health is fun. You can have a great day with the one you love, doing something you love to do surrounded by friends, and then an hour before bed you remember this one time fifteen years ago when someone you barely knew was a jerk and you'll be up all night wanting to kill yourself.

At this point, I expect people to hear a Chopin nocturne and scoff "Ugh! No emotion!"

Music already had roles for people like this! Like sourcing a band’s drugs and pretending to play the maracas. Or playing an unplugged bass on stage. You don’t need AI!

It really seems like WWE has trained people to only understand "it's a story" if it's a weird backstage skit. They never watched any other wrestling for this "no stories" thing to be as deeply rooted as it is. 70s or 80s wrestling, or Puro, the storytelling is different... not non-existent.

I've never once been to a bar where people bet on live kickboxing. 80s movies lied to me.

I read a book on songwriting that was such a vapid, low-effort, merch table vanity project for an already rich musician, that it ironically inspired me to write a song about how much I hated this book.

there's an episode of The Simpsons where Marge tries to get a violent cartoon pulled from the airwaves, only to discover that the people backing her aren't going to stop at just the art that *she* doesn't like, and that supporting artistic freedom means accepting discomfort.

It aired in 1990.

I don't know how, but quirky old time piano filtered then unfiltered over a light electronic beat has become the corporate memphis art of music genres
