I wish journalists would stop framing political news as wins or losses for politicians or political parties. It’s an abrogation of our mission. Why do we keep doing this? Is the spending bill a win or loss for the American people? Who does it help? Who does it hurt? Is it sound policy? Fiscally?

There are a lot of important skills sets we will need in the coming months/years, but one of the most important will be generative conflict. As the conditions get worse, we will see more conflict and being able to navigate it well, without loosing each other, will be invaluable.

Why isn't this data worth systemically responding to like we do the smallest changes in standardized testing outcomes?

Doesn't it follow that kids would learn better at school if they weren't perpetually tired, stressed, and bored?
In a national survey of over 21,000 students, "tired", "stressed", and "bored" were the most common words students used to describe how they feel at school.

In an in-depth follow-up with 472 students, "75% of all feelings students reported...were negative."
