I liked girls first. I saw girls in bikinis on a calendar when I was pre-K. I was far more mystified by them than I was with the men in trunks calendar. I learned to like boys later...like 4th grade later but I still always liked girls too.

Purity culture and the patriarchy have left many of us with shame about our bodies (especially women and queer people). So, when I see one of us shedding that shame and embracing our bodies and our pleasure, it warms my heart. Human pleasure is necessary, beautiful, and radical.

Depression is like a heavy weighted blanket but without the warmth and comfort. And I am but a weak mouse. I am trapped. I cannot get up. Not to shower. Not to grab a drink of water. I'm exhausted from fighting the weight on top of me, but I will keep fighting to escape.
