In terms of directly inspiring books, this early reader was the first introduction i had to the bittersweet ending of The Little Mermaid.

While my book, What the Sea Brings, ended up being a much lighter retelling than I first imagined, it all started here. #kidlitchat

My debut, The Necromancer's Apprentice is perfect for spooky season. This whimsical and heartfelt fantasy follows in the footsteps of T. Kingfisher and Diana Wynne Jones.

Georgie would do anything to help his father - even learn the undying art of necromancy.

My latest release, What the Sea Brings is a cozy summer time fantasy inspired by The Little Mermaid, Redwall Abbey, and Studio Ghibli films.

Lynnette, a 10 year old novice, prays for a friend but the boy who washes up on shore may change more than she expected.
