The Conway Lab (NIH) and Butts Lab (UMD) are seeking a brilliant postdoc to study high-acuity vision combining large-scale electrophys and deep computational modeling. Prior experience (broadly speaking) is recommended: please email Dan Butts with CV and brief research statement.

The sky is rarely green. Why? It was fun confronting this surprising question with the BBC
The sky can be beautiful fiery colours at sunset 🌅 & a cool blue during the day 🩵 but why is the sky never green? 💚

CrowdScience took a trip to The Artic Circle to find out.

Why is there more than one retinotopic visual area? Spencer developed a data-driven analysis tool that sheds some light. The results are neat, helping resolve a puzzle abt monkey & human V4 & implying that spatial maps across the cortex carry information about color. Congrats Spencer, a rising star!
