Consumer interest for sustainable finance is certainly strong: more than 1/4 have already invested sustainably and 41% would consider doing so.

52% in our new survey said the distinction between regular and sustainable investments is unclear. 76% think sustainable investments should be subject to strong rules.

Apple's hearing today at the EU's #GeneralCourt illustrates how Apple is trying every trick in the book to evade compliance with the #DigitalMarketsAct. BEUC supports Apple's designation as a gatekeeper and urges the company to comply fully rather than delay and obstruct at every opportunity.

Customs officers in Liege Airport are facing a tsunami of small parcels from e-commerce. Unfortunately, customs are not yet properly equipped to check the compliance of all these products. Ultimately, this means potential unsafe products are entering consumers' households. ⤵️

We looked at the overall availability of ecolabelled products (👇) in supermarkets but what about 3individual products like all purpose cleaners 🧹🧼?

We found the ecolabelled cleaning products were cheaper in all but 4 of the countries surveyed 👛

People want to shop healthy and sustainable, but how easy is it really?

@eeb.org & BEUC checked supermarkets 🛒 in 13 countries:
ecolabelled products are mostly cheaper than conventional ones...but availability varies massively – from 80% of products in Denmark to just 2% in Cyprus and Greece 👇

An eye- ̶p̶o̶p̶p̶i̶n̶g̶ opening story from @theguardian.com today: "Fake Labubu dolls accounted for 90% of counterfeit toys seized at the UK border this year, with many found to contain banned chemicals or pose choking hazards."

We witnessed this when we visited the Amsterdam Airport earlier this month.
