Im trying to figure out what all the kids are getting for christmas and I want to get my 5yo a guitar but not sure what to look for. Obviously one that is small? But I also dont want a dinky little toy one but also want to stay less then 50 preferably.

Its awful. I want someone to tell me why my parents (and my hometown) in southeast indiana are in the same district as northern Marion County?
We live in south indy and I am baffled.

Lmao the proposed redistricting map for Indiana is so egregious. It splits Indianapolis into 4 different congressional districts. I wouldn’t be in the same district as every other person I know in Indy, but I would be with towns 2+ hrs away that have a pop. 20x smaller than my township alone. Nasty.

I am reading a bio about Elizabeth Taylor as part of my TLOAS prep and there have been so many things that have stood out to me, but this has me really intrigued in regards to Taylor Swift kind of way.

I grew up in a conservative catholic circle and have only just been learning queer history over the last year or so. If anyone has recommendations on movies/shows, music, and books that explore queer history, I would love to hear them.

One of the bittersweet things about Folklore being out for 5 years is that my 2020 baby boy in a couple of days and I am not sure how he is starting school in a couple of weeks when I was just snuggling him and singing my tears ricochet and peace and other songs to him as a lullaby.

I think it scares my kids when Picture to Burn comes on while driving. My inner sad, lonely, and angry 15yo comes out.

When i was 11 I read Mary, Bloody Mary by Carolyn Meyer and the next book I checked out from the library was a large non-fiction book from the adult section about the 6 wives of Henry VIII.

Some of my wedding flowers were made from Emily Dickinson poetry. I still have them in a handmade vase an artist friend made as a wedding gift.

Libraries have provided me with so much in the last 30-some years. Right now I am given a safe place to take my kids and I am able to make mom friends at the weekly preschool storytimes.

Libraries have provided me with so much in the last 30-some years. Right now I am given a safe place to take my kids and I am able to make mom friends at the weekly preschool storytimes.
