Aspiring writer.
I really hate how relevant this has become.

The most impactful way to complain about Kimmel.

Fellow Portlanders: We do have a Sinclair station, and it's katu.com (ABC).

This is the lead story in the New York Times. If you're in the business of communicating, whether through journalism, commentary, or art, this is the five-alarm fire. People are going to remember who spoke up and who stayed conveniently silent or postured about "neutrality."

As you cancel streaming services, here is a casual reminder that only 16% of Americans read for pleasure anymore, and your local library has hundreds or thousands of books you haven't read.

They would love to see you stop by and renew your library card.

Luckily, Sinclair has a helpful database of all their stations, so you can see if they're operating in your area and respond accordingly.

Pretty much every societal problem — from crime to anti-immigrant sentiment to transphobia to the “male loneliness epidemic” — is downstream of a government that simply does not give a shit about making life better, easier, and more affordable for its citizens, regardless of which party is in power

I could offer condolences, but that would be practicing the "sin of empathy."
On December 14, 2012, a mass shooter murdered 20 children, ages 6 and 7, and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut.

Four days later, evangelical author James Dobson claimed the mass shooting was God's retribution for abortion and gay marriage.

He died today at 89.

Laid off, eviction notice, and starting nursing school this month. Luckily, I have great friends who put together this graphic to support me.

I know there's so many people who need it rn so no pressure, even a share is much appreciated.

I used to feel embarrassed about changing my social media handle all the time, until I remember that WBD likely spent millions going from HBO Max to Max to HBO Max again.

I feel like the WNBA should sue these assholes into oblivion.
Sex toys are being hurled on the court at WNBA games. A cryptocurrency group says they're behind it – and planning for more.

The group says the acts are "pranks" intended to draw attention to their crypto meme coin and not meant to disrespect women athletes.
Crypto group claims responsibility for hurling sex toys at WNBA games
A spokesman for the cryptocurrency meme coin creators told USA TODAY Sports they launched sex toys as a lighthearted joke.

LOL, I suck at personal branding so much. I change my username like every 3 months because I can never decide what exactly I want to do on these platforms.

I only wrote 370 words today. Barely a page.

Still proud of myself, because I battled the procrastination demons and won.

I'm telling you: Write those first few words, no matter how "crappy" you think they are.

Some paragraphs from my false starts are now in my official first draft. It comes in handy when I get stuck and need words to get to the next point.

I did my future self a favor by writing crappy first drafts.

And if for no other reasons than selfishness, no due process means no chance for YOU to prove you are a citizen.

IT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU.
And let's be clear: It's NEVER ok to deny people in the United States due process, no matter how innocent or guilty they may seem on the surface—nor to send them to foreign torture prisons known for human rights abuses even if they do get due process and are found guilty of crimes.

Alright, I've started!

Wrote the first 900 words of my official first draft this morning!

While people may praise the Atlantic for the Signal story, it's important to remember that a broken clock may be right twice a day, but it's still broken.
Hey look, it’s The Atlantic continuing to marginalize people who don’t want to get infected repeatedly with COVID.

You know, this patronizing story pairs well with new reporting about long-term damage from multiple COVID infections.

I have basic summaries of 25 chapters I want to write for my novel. The summaries are about 3 to 5 sentences each.

Should I outline my chapters more, or am I just productively procrastinating to avoid actually writing the damn thing?
