“It’s Florida, Man” on Max reminds me of Drunk History except that instead of drinking they’re reenacting true stories the actual people involved are soberly telling. But trust me that it has a very Drunk History vibe.

Still trying to get the algorithm here to show me preferred content but that takes time and engagement I guess.

Reading a book on desert gardening, and it’s fine, if basic, but I think it needed a better copyeditor.

“Like humans, calcium and potassium are part of a healthy diet for plants.”

…are they, now.

Best folk #horror (both #books and #movies)?

Wicker Man is a classic of course. I even like the remake for the cheese factor. Blood on Satan’s Claw is a good one as well. Children of the Corn?

Zombie fiction is, at its core, about the fear of seeing your own body age and decay. Ghost stories are about the impossibility of grappling with the past. Vampires are about what if you got so horny you died

I’m a huge fan of the Tubi app. I think it’s one of the best streamers out and the fact that it’s free shames (or should shame) a lot of the pay streamers. The horror and foreign selections are incredibly good too!

Though not participating in a certain official novel writing month, I still plan on a self challenge and am hoping to stumble across an independent collective (or I’ll just do it solo)
So starting my #preptober a bit late

Strange Darling is the best film of the year, imo. If you haven’t seen it, you should and go in with as little knowledge as possible for the best viewing experience.
