So Trump’s big primetime “address to the nation” is just him struggling to read a psychotic script full of lies written by Stephen Miller about how great he is.

Trump is giving a humiliating speech to deflect responsibility and distract from his failures, drowning in Christmas decorations

Trump is trying to BAN states from regulating AI in *any* way to protect your safety and privacy.

He couldn't get the votes in Congress to do it—so he's threatening to sue or yank funding from any state that stands up to tech billionaires.

This is a massive, corrupt overreach.

So Trump is just giving away another $2.6 billion in taxpayer money for “bonuses” that was not appropriated for that purpose by our duly elected representatives in Congress, while we are $38 trillion in debt.

Hot take: having an incoherent septuagenarian scream-lecture America like a man arguing with a self-checkout machine that keeps yelling “unexpected item in the bagging area” might not actually be the emotional support animal we need right now.

These speeches lately kinda have me missing the old days when they were about Al Capone, Hannibal Lecter, electric tanks, getting eaten by sharks, windmills causing cancer, and mentally ill whales.

This has the votes to pass with bipartisan support, but Johnson is going to adjourn the House again to delay it as long as possible just like he did with Epstein.

It’s wild that Trump and the Republicans are willing to try basically everything except actually making things less expensive for people.

Because they know if they show government can do that we’ll want it to do that more. #MedicareForAllNOW

If you think Trump's march to authoritarian power is unstoppable - or already a fait accompli - just note how panicked and weak he was tonight and he wheedled and whined about nothing is his fault.

That's not a man who thinks he's winning.

Trump got high on his own supply & never figured out the only reason his 1st term wasn’t even more of a disaster was that he inherited & coasted on a good economy. He’s learning the hard way now. Nuts senile person having nuke codes when you also can’t find a job is tough scenes

"Smith was once my adversary in a high-profile investigation of a Republican client. In that investigation, Smith proved himself to be fair, impartial and fearlessly committed to the facts … [R]ecent attacks on Smith are motivated by partisan politics."
Opinion | I'm Trump's former lawyer. Jack Smith should be celebrated, not vilified.
