This was so lovely.

Great to perform the work we've done together over the last 2 months but so, so amazing to see all of the other projects and the genuinely inspiring and valuable work being done in our communities.

Probably burning the candle at both ends a bit too much over the last 2 weeks but last minute invite to press night wasn't something I was going to turn down.

At least I have the mature restraint to do mid-week shenanigans sober these days unlike the reckless frolicking I used to do in my twenties.

Back here again yesterday for another workshop where I got to spend the morning as Beth and the afternoon as the Scottish variant of me, MACbeth which is frankly better than anything else I would normally be doing on a Sunday.

I like to take myself out on regular solo dates and adventures so this was to box off (no pun intended) the end of a busy week of annual leave.

Can't believe I have to go back to work in a couple of days. It's not for me, the 9 to 5 life. 👎

Hotly anticipated cameo from The Muppets didn't happen, but never mind. The show was still astounding. Maybe they didn't show up because Statler and Waldorf had nothing bad to shout about.

Some days ADHD is crippling, exhausting and literally disabling.

Sometimes it's having two partly full glasses of water on your desk and not knowing which one is from today and which one you just carried in here from yesterday.

No spoons left to wash them both so a 3rd will soon join the party

Oh, it had to be THAT episode, didn't it. 😭

First of two events at Scene Manchester 2025.

Did not realise that row L was going to be the second row at a comedy gig and no one sat in front of us. We got papped laughing though as proof we contributed to the mirth.

This is unsolicited advice, take if it resonates: DO THINGS ALONE, it's better than not at all.

Planned to be at a workshop. It got cancelled. Already had the train tickets, went to London and met PUCK.

Spoke to strangers, took pictures of a couple on Tower bridge to upgrade their selfie.

Nice.

Dropped several hundred hints about getting chippy tea. Did get my way but extreme measures are always needed to make it from the chip shop back to the car without militant seagulls beating you up for your white pudding supper.

I can't help but feel that dog sign is for one particular dog. You know who you are...

Also, the other sign is kinda rude. Broughty Ferry doesn't look THAT bad.

We visit Dundee for a family party, I win gig tickets 2 days before getting there, Alan proceeds to meet absolutely everyone he has ever known in Dundee, before moving to Manchester, at the gig.

Would have been a less epic journey taking a piece of jewellery to Mordor but it's nice to be back in Dundee and I can't believe I actually won something nice! I never win anything!

(Will probably get rained on now to even it out.)

Productive day at LIPA at an all-day text analysis/acting workshop with Nick Bagnall - going from director to mentor in very short space of time.

Challenging, emotional plays to work with and a lovely supportive small group. Can't wait to do it again.

Show 1 of 3 done at Shakespeare North! I need a leg transplant now. So many steps, so much running.
