Cat lover, neurodivergent, make baskets to quell anxiety. Baskets are taking over my house. Okay, I don't mean to target anyone but I think I need to point out that unless you know me really well, I don't DM. *points to neurodivergent in description*

On this Thanksgiving I would like to acknowledge the Haudenosaunee on whose land I now live. I also wish those who are separated from loved ones by distance, death and/or mindset to have a peaceful day.

Rather than investigating whether the state’s ban was increasing maternal mortality, the state launched an investigation into who shared the records with @propublica.org. That investigation was unsuccessful so the state health department, overseen by Gov. Brian Kemp, dismissed the whole board.

It seems entirely possible and plausible to me that elections can be won by telling people what you will do for them without resorting to telling them what you'll do to others instead. That might win some votes but it will lose mine. Scapegoating is the wrong answer.

I would like to speak up today for the trans community.

You see, I know a bit of what it’s like to be politically scapegoated. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, suddenly anyone in America who had any amount of Japanese ancestry became suspect. Politicians preyed upon ignorance and fear. /1

We bought an EV today. It was not a Tesla. Also doing some updates to our home to make our heat/hot water more energy efficient. Feels really good.

I haven't deleted my Twitter account but I haven't seen or used it in a long time. It's pretty cool to see people here I followed there, as well as friends from other social media platforms. I couldn't get into Threads. I think this will be my Twitter substitute now.
