Last week my Honours student Sam and team GPS tagged 100 sheep on a station in arid South Australia and set up a weather station!

Sam is looking at the effect of wind direction and speed on grazing. Can't wait for the results!

Hey #rangelands people!

Is anyone going to the International Rangelands Congress in Adelaide in June?

I'm potentially running a workshop just after the IRC and am looking for guest speakers, plus looking to explore research synergies with potential Australian and international collaborators!

Where in the world would you see a massive crocodile being craned high above the streets of a capital city?....

.... Only in the Territory!

I'm at home with a cold today- one of those ones that makes your legs weak. Why is it that I feel really guilty about resting?

Top tip for when you have a long (daytime) layover in Melbourne... Woodlands Historic Park is 11 mins taxi drive from the airport, has a cafe, walking tracks, retired racehorses and lots of kangaroos!

It's making our 9 hour layover much more pleasant!

It's a lovely cool morning in Darwin today, only 26⁰C! Unfortunately I'm not cycling to work this morning, because I'm jetting off to Broome for a week of meetings and field visits- I'm excited to finally visit WA!

I guess it's time to re-introduce myself!
I'm an agricultural scientist, interested in the nexus between ag systems, people and the environment. Currently I focus on rangelands in N.Australia. Also live on a boat, have a small child and enjoy the outdoors. I've little patience for wilful unkindness
