**PhD opportunity**
I am looking for a PhD student to work with me on the link between agricultural practices and human nutrition in Timor Leste. Only open to domestic candidates

Please message, email or call for more information
Check out *our new paper!

What's this got to do with cattle, I hear you ask! Well, fish feed isn't that different to fish feed really, and the framework used here could be used to evaluate the sustainability of any feeds.

*I had a very teeny tiny part to play in the paper
An IMAS-led study reveals the environmental footprint of fish feeds depends more on where feed ingredients are sourced than on whether they are fish- or plant-based. It shows that knowing where & how ingredients are produced is key to reducing environmental footprint 🐠https://tinyurl.com/3fk5sjn9

Check out my @utas.edu.au PhD student Xin's new paper!

It looks at published mineral composition (e.g. calcium, selenium, iodine etc) of Atlantic salmon, and investigates environmental and management effects on that composition.

Enjoy!

If this is true, then it's scary.

When I was 18 months old, I nearly died from encephalitis that I contracted as a complication from chicken pox. It is >10 x more likely to occur with measles.

GET YOUR CHILDREN VACCINATED, PEOPLE
According to the Houston Chronicle, public health officials in Texas think that there are likely 200-300 people now infected with measles. If confirmed, this outbreak is already out of control. H/t to @mickiemo.bsky.social for the heads up. www.chron.com/news/houston...
