Public historian, Disney nerd.

Opinions are my own; history is sourced.

Also I wrote a book on how Disney Parks negotiate the national narrative. Pretty relevant, also fun.

Available everywhere but preferably not from Amazon for obvious reasons.

IMHO, as both a political and Disney historian, WDW has one chance to completely reimagine Hall of Presidents without angering any political side: 2026/America 250. Hear me out-HOP -> WTP, We The People. #dissky #publichistory #america250 #waltdisneyworld

Disney has always been the bellwether of where the heart of the country is, culturally.

Just saying.

Trump: We are the federal law. You better do it because you’re not going to get any federal funds.

Oh that you love us still (love us still)
So people I'm gonna be under (yeah)

“The Copper Bosses killed you Joe,
they shot you Joe” says I.
“Takes more than guns to kill a man”
Says Joe “I didn’t die”
And standing there as big as life
and smiling with his eyes.
Says Joe “What they can never kill

went on to organize”

The public historian in me would like to remind us of some of the times in history when those who believe in human dignity and respect have been on the ropes. Hoping it offers me (& you) some perspective-the arc of history doesn’t necessarily bend toward justice, but it does vacillate towards it.

Everyone's keeping an eye on the forecast for Jan 20. 40 years ago, temps dipped so low outdoor activities were cancelled for Reagan's 2nd inauguration.

Not to worry, the Inaugural Bands got to shine. The parade was restaged in America's other capital city, Lake Buena Vista (at #Epcot).
