I saw peppermint on in-flight entertainment, and I refuse to rewatch it… but my memory was that shots were unintentionally out of focus or they were using low res plates for backdrops? It was bad enough that, even on a 9 hour flight I was seriously considering taking the rare DNF

I can't decide if Brown Note not being included in the terrible franchise marathon discussion means it was too good to be considered? or too forgettable to be remembered?

That is ridiculous, but something I’ll work around.

It does mean I’m much more likely to see this movie solo, instead of trying to sell a 6 hour all-in experience to anyone else.

Just got tickets.

Please consider John 🎶𝓢𝓲𝓻𝓪𝓬𝓾𝓼𝓪🎶 (@siracusa.social) as the first guest host, so that he can finally teach John (@johnroderick.bsky.social) about developing a process to safely back up digital media, and how file systems (🛎️) work.

The LB lists will still be updated, but the aggregated website stuff will go away.

It might get resurrected if I need to host another hobby project (had a scarecrow one halfway done but then got distracted by the summer… hopefully I get back on that horse at some point).

Thanks for the podcasts!

'Men, I have some good news for you and some bad news for you. The bad news is, we have nothing left to eat but camel poop. The good news is, there's plenty of it.'

Found the joke online.

The English Camel Corp are trapped in the Sahara Desert. They've been surrounded by Rommel for forty days and have run out of food. The Captain makes an announcement to the men:

What was the ‘crazy eye thing’ she does? I would have thought you guys would mention Pruitt Taylor Vince if that’s what it was… but you made it through a whole body snatchers episode without mentioning “LONG PROTEIN STRINGS”, so I don’t know what to think anymore!

Why did they do aggregate legs pre-Apple?
October 28, 2025 at 11:51 PM
Anything’s better than aggregate, but forcing PKs on all games is probably the worst implementation of best of 3. This would be much better, if MLS insists on ensuring all playoff teams get a home game

Nevermind his lack of basic awareness, what’s with that clunky, inaccurate name? If anything, this tilted-extreme would be a ‘sports solstice’, which is still stupid. The term he’s looking for would be “Sports Syzygy”.

It’s like he’s allergic to alliteration. And fundamental knowledge of NA sports.

Would Barry White approve?

Here are the 3 I know about. I’d only recommend The Night Strangler, which is a pretty fun tv movie where a pulpy reporter’s the only one who understands some supernatural stuff going down in the emerald city.

If you summed up the count of entries in the Sounders column vs their opponents over the season… is it even close?
