Mind you, over the years you have given an awful lot of people an awful lot of pleasure with your short stories. I know it doesn't pay the mortgage, but there is that.

I find that with a lot of books I read and enjoy. I'll read a late chapter and put the book down and go and have a cuppa. Salman Rushdie's 'The Satanic Verses' took forever!
