Extract from next week's Transport and Environment Committee papers confirms that the Meadows to Greenbank Quiet Connection has reduced traffic in the Braid Estate without increasing traffic on alternative route. Does this mean they might change their minds about ripping it out?

I’d add, this is often misinterpreted by drivers as an ‘anti-car’ post, when in fact it’s a pro-regulation message.

If you put in place the appropriate rules for the game, the city will look after itself.
Drivers keep getting angry at for me saying that they are only limited by what we allow them to do.

But reality keeps proving me right.

REMINDER: Those choosing to live in subsidized suburbs for a bigger house and yard are NOT also entitled to free-flow car traffic capacity (aka an “easy car commute”) into the city at the expense of the taxes, health, safety (hint: bike-lanes) & quality of life of city-dwellers.

Good article, difficult balance to find with such a huge local conflict. All this over 3 filters for goodness sake.
