Chris & I have added 8 paws - and a lot of chaos - to our family this week!

Meet Margaux and Saumur, two little girls who needed a home. It’s been a decision we haven’t made lightly as we still grieve the loss of Mendoza very deeply.

One week ago, we said goodbye to Mendoza.

Our home feels so empty and so very quiet. I keep looking for her or expect her to come in from another room. Then I remember she is gone.

A friend thoughtfully lit this candle for her in the Buddhist tradition & gave to us. It’s been lit ever since.

Missing my girl so much. This time last week, I was enjoying cuddling with her and being calmed by her purrs. 😢

I hope you are running free, Mendoza.
