Incidentally, i found out swablu's jp name is チルット(tyltto) as in Tyltyl, the main character in The Blue Bird, and a parrot. The NA name doesn't even mention Tyltyl and only "blu" even though it originated in europe.

One of his work, "The Blue Bird", got translated to japanese in 1911—the same year he got a nobel prize. They also made an anime based on it in 1980, so that's two reason.

I still dont know why but it seems like his work is extensively studied there.
