With the PSN outage bringing to light the danger of a digital-only all-drm future, it's ever more clear that the model is anti-consumer and a preservation dead-end. It's no better than Netflix but with them using your system for storage. You're renting, not owning.

Whoever did the graphic design for the logos from Sun Microsystems and Silicon Graphics, Inc. certainly earned their compensation. Hands down some of the absolute best logos in the industry that still hold up today.

Is it just me or did graphical improvements stop being so meaningful after Xbox 360/PS3 era? Games were in HD with high fidelity visuals and no immersion break. Individual pixels were irrelevant. Since then improvements have been only inching incrementally to photorealism.

Did you know that the original SMB on the NES was stored in 40KB? That's the ENTIRE game.

This screenshot alone is 2KB. Super Mario Bros Wonder is reportedly 2GB in size. That's over 52,428 times larger. Mind blown.

Everyone seems to be making a huge fuss about Nintendo keeping a headphone jack on the Switch 2 but I don't get it. I like winners, not cowards. And clearly they didn't have the courage to screw over their customers.

Large amounts of Japanese text written only in hiragana is somewhat difficult to read while Korean hangeul manages without trouble. Why?
1. It's not what we're used to
2. Hangeul incorporates spaces between words
3. Kana is linear while hangeul has 2D structure providing visual cueing
