As a geriatric millennial fighting his mortgage company to lend £££ until I am 70, this would be incredibly helpful.

Yes, of course hard to have all the nuance and address everyone’s particular circumstances. I was just surprised to see a large proportion of long term saving being in cash ISAs. We’re an outlier as a country in doing this.

Monthly purchase of a low cost index fund over long periods of time rather than stock picking. All the data I can see shows this to be better than long term cash savings.

I remember NESTA used to be active in this space. I worked with a local developer on a peer to peer book sharing service in a London borough www.nesta.org.uk/project/make... about 15 years ago!

Also a cohort who are quite used to having ID already. My dad used his service ID number for all sorts of things through his army career.

I am a huge believer in open data and transparency. I also reply to enough FOIs to suspect that a lot of requesters have not even made a cursory effort to search the web for the information they’re requesting.

We affectionately called an incredibly experienced, and not obviously into hip hop, colleague ‘J-Flo’ which I like to believe he has now adopted as his name in all professional circles.
